Dancing Astronaut – EDM, trap, techno, deep house, dubstep
From the man who spawned the 2010 super smash “Hello” and notoriously sports a snazzy head band at every show, French hit-maker, Martin Solveig, says goodbye to his progressive origins and takes a plunge into the future house phenomenon. His bass-pumping link with GTA, “Intoxicated,” was one of the most played tracks at this year’s Ultra Music Festival Miami, and he now prepares for the release of a follow-up offering wearing a similar suit titled “+1.”
Blood-pumping rhythms harnessed with lacerating plucks and thrusting kicks, “+1” radiantly shines as a prime example of how deeper, groove-ridden house cuts can be transformed into main stage appropriate, mayhem inducers. “+1” saw its debut on Pete Tong’s BBC Radio 1 show but will be released in full on June 8 via Spinnin’ Deep, just in time for the outset of festival season.
