KSHMR – JAMMU (Original Mix)

Dancing Astronaut – EDM, trap, techno, deep house, dubstep

Originally known as the mastermind behind indie-pop’s The Cataracs, Niles Hollowell-Dhar came forth as rising progressive house sensation, KSHMR, that serves as his solo project he launched just over a year ago. Since his inception with “Megalodon,” he has already collaborated with the likes of R3HAB, Dillon Francis, Tiësto, Carnage, and more throughout his boiling career. Returning with another anthemic slice of big room bliss, KSHMR releases his latest single, “JAMMU,” on Spinnin’ Records.

The track’s name comes from a city in the northern region of India, and KSHMR uses musical sounds of the South Asian country as an inspiration to give his usual progressive house stylings an international twist. Designing a metallic pluck topline to overcoat his vigrous dance backbone, KSHMR creates an eclectic synthesis of musical genres with his contrast of organic and electronic elements.
